It is then good for nothing but to be cast out and trodden under foot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden, neither do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a lampstand so that it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven."

 "No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If they do, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. And people do not pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins."

 “And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward."
